Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, promises to write Letters to the Deputies with a Demand to publish their Income Declarations
Asked about the unpublished income declarations of the People´s Deputies, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn promised "to write personal letters to all the People´s Deputies with a request to publish their income declarations." "I will write personal letters to the deputies. I will ask to draft 449 letters, so that they either publish their income declarations or give consent to their publication in line with the Law on Access to the Public Information," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated.
He also stressed that the parliament can not provide deputies´ income declarations without their consent. "The Verkhovna Rada Secretariate is not the administrator of such information, it administrates only the information it produces," V.Lytvyn stated.
